How to set a Christmas gift budget and stick to it
Most holiday overspending comes from not writing the list down. Here is a short method that works on paper.
1. Pick the total first
Decide the number you can spend across gifts, wrapping and extras before you shop. Everything else flows from it.
2. Split it by person
List everyone you buy for and give each person a limit. Put your biggest limits first so they do not get squeezed at the end.
3. Log every purchase
Write the actual cost next to each name as you buy. Seeing the running total is what stops the extra "just one more thing".
The Holiday Gift Budget Planner is a printable that does all three on one page. It is also included in the 105-page Christmas bundle.
