How I pick Amazon deals (and what I skip)

Plenty of "deals" are the usual price with a red tag. These are the rules I use for the picks on the deals page.

I show the number I saw

Each pick shows the sale price, the list price and the percent off, with the date I looked. Deals change fast, so I label it a snapshot.

I favor well-reviewed items

Top-selling items with a solid rating beat unknown brands with a flashy discount.

I skip anything I cannot verify

If a price is not shown on Amazon's own page, I do not post it.
